Access Health Summit 2018

Tuesday 19 June 2018

The ACCESS HEALTH SUMMIT 2018 is an event that will encourage, inspire and inform people who are passionate about making a difference in the world, through international health & development.

Are you interested in impacting those less fortunate? Do you want to know more? Why not take the first step..

During this event three dynamic health & development professionals will explore the challenges of providing care in resource poor environments.

Our three speakers for the night bring a wealth of knowledge on child and maternal health, remote and community-based health care and the realities of providing health and development in challenging environments.

This event will appeal to all health professionals (nurses, doctors, physios etc), policy makers, aid workers, cross culture workers, church mission reps, uni students and also high school students.

Tickets are $37 Standard, $20 Uni Students and $10 High School Students – this includes light refreshments.

Serve on a short-term medical team

As our organisation and health care services grow, so do the volunteering opportunities. Volunteer for either a medical or non-medical role on one of our short-term teams, delivering health care services and education in rural communities in Africa.

Volunteer in Perth

While our teams deliver much needed health care services, you don’t have to be in the medical profession to become a volunteer. In fact, we have a broad range of volunteer roles available here in our Perth office.

Become a business partner

Kirsty Sutherland (RN)

Having volunteered in India as an Enrolled Nurse, and most recently as a Registered Nurse in Zimbabwe, I can only speak praise for the work Cosmos Healthcare does, and for what Sizolwethu continues to do, for people in need.  During my Zimbabwe trip, my faith in God grew and was strengthened on what can only be described as a less than smooth silky road.

Luba Vosloo

The three week trip was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has strengthened me and I have benefited in ways I could not imagine. God is faithful to do exceeding and abundantly more than we can ever ask for imagine!

Suzanne Reynolds (RN)

As a registered nurse who has been with Cosmos twice to Africa, I can say that it changed the course of my life. Cosmos does great work and brings relief to so many beautiful people there. Keep up the good work.

Lucy Webb-Martin

I found the trip immensely humbling. The people of Zimbabwe suffer terribly under extreme poverty and still manage to be cheerful, polite and kind. They do not complain and maintain a sense of pride, humour and hard work. It was a privilege to work with them and try and help in a small way. We can all learn a lot from their daily attitudes to a situation they have no control over. They blew me away and I was very lucky to be in a position to go to Zimbabwe and would love to go back. The organisation of Cosmos and how well cared for we were was fantastic and I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of doing voluntary work to join the Cosmos team.
