In the future Cosmos HealthCare is planning to: Continue and develop our ongoing work in India Establish a long term medical project in Zimbabwe Look for another region in the world where we can serve
Part of our future focus will be embracing a more preventative approach to complement our clinical work. To do this we are planning to utilise a well recognised program called Community Health Evangelism (CHE). The CHE strategy is being used by over 400 organisations across the world in 93 countries. They aim to integrate community health and development with evangelism, discipleship and church planting. The ministry is holistic, seeking to obey everything that Jesus commanded and to address the whole need of individuals and communities. Outcomes that have been shown in CHE programs include: Shared vision: the community sees a better future and has hope it can be achieved Leadership: Godly Christian leaders are positioned and equipped to lead the community toward accomplishment of its vision Ownership: people taking responsibility for their own health and well-being Cooperation: people are united and working together for the common good Volunteers: significant numbers of people are acting sacrificially to meet the legitimate needs of others Dignity: people have recovered their identity that they are made in the image of God, and their vocation as stewards of creation. Instead of being controlled or victimised by their situation, they are stewards of it. Learning, skill and resources: people are equipped to identify needs and resources, put together a plan, and mobilise volunteers to accomplish their vision. People are continually reflecting on what is happening in order to learn how to be more effective. Christian Community and Witness: believers are meeting together for prayer, Bible study, fellowship and worship and are sharing Christ with their neighbours in word and in deed. Shalom: Peace, justice, compassion and righteousness are witnessed in the community and God glorified
